Another day at the spa

Yes, I realize I'm getting quite spoiled. We'd been planning our girls day out to the spa for something like five months and a couple months ago, we finally settled on a day that would work for all the moms in Bennett's playgroup. We met at 10am and were greeted by plenty of champagne and orange juice for mimosas. Three of us got massages while the other three did facials and then we swapped in the middle. It was probably one of the best facials I've gotten (though I'm pretty sure I drove Cristina crazy by asking my esthetician about a million questions). The massage? Let's just say she wasn't quite strong enough for my taste. I could tell she was trying really hard because when she was giving it her all, she was totally all shaky. But, her all just didn't cut it for me and my hard knots and muscles. Ahh well. It was still a heavenly way to spend the morning.

Afterwards, we all went over to a little restaurant for a leisurely two hour lunch, where I'm pretty sure we offended the family that was seated next to us. Let's just say we WEREN'T talking about the kids. :) They had a little girl with them who was maybe 8 or 9? Yeah, she was totally eavesdropping. She all but pulled up a chair. Problem was, we didn't catch on until we'd said way too much about bachelorette parties and the like. Oops.

I came home and the kids were already up from their naps. We took them outside to play for a while. That's when Bennett decided he was man enough for a pink scooter and helmet. I mean, just check out his totally tough face in this picture. :)

After we decided that it was too hot to hang out much longer, and that I also wanted to be COMPLETELY lazy today, we decided to hit SuperFranks for their 19.99 special. Large pizza, four drinks, admission for two to the mini gym and Taught Town, and five dollars in tokens. We had a blast! I seriously adore this place. We all rode plasma cars, bounced balls, and even Lance and I got to do the zip line. Oh, and they had a mini bouncy house up in Taught Town, so Bennett got to have his first bouncy house experience! We were there from about 4:45 this afternoon until they closed. They had to practically escort us out of the building. :) Good times.
